When should i set my draft status to "ready"?

i am commissioner of a yahoo fantasy baseball autodraft league. when should i set my league's draft status to ready? should i wait until 2011 mlb rosters to be set? if we draft now, will my league have to add and drop players to get new players that are added to the mlb rosters if our autodraft takes place before the start of the regular season?
