How long after my acl surgery will i walk?

I had an injury paying soccer about 5 months ago, i tore my acl on my right knee. On december 20th I had surgery, i cchoosethe Patellar tendon graft procedure. The very first day right out of surgery I felt no pain at all, i walked with my crutches. but the next day i got the pain and for the past 3 days i have been in bed! i cant get up since the pain is extreme only when i try to lift my leg up or down to walk. I called my doctor he said it was fine that it was nnormal can anyone help me to answer my question? how long until the pain will leave? and i can get up again? ttomorrowis christmas and im gonna have to stay home :( which is sad! so can anyone answer my qquestionplease?
