Why does Chris Smith no longer do the breakfast show with Christian O'Connell on Virgin?

He was the OC's sidekick on XFM as well aand was brilliant and funny. Did some of the best things on the breakfast show. He went off on paternity leave and never came back. His name has never been mentioned since either. It all sounds a bit sinister to me.
