Do business firms have a preference for business majors over econ majors?

I'm a student at a top 20 liberal arts school, working on an econ degree. My program isn't very finance or accounting orientated (or vocational, in general), but I think we have a slightly higher math requirement than other schools (we need to take up to Calc 3). I probably won't end up with the highest GPA...I'm not trying to make excuses, but this school is tough (not a party school). If I get an internship or two, will I look competitive compared to other grads?
